WHO DO I CALL TO SIGN UP?
To sign up for a class or to schedule a tandem jump, call us at (888) 456-JUMP. You will talk to a real person most of the time. We are generally available to take your call seven days a week and all day long. At times, you will get voice mail if we are unavailable or on the other line, please leave a message and we will do our best to return your call in a timely manner.

ARE RESERVATIONS AND DEPOSITS REQUIRED?

Deposits will be required on groups of 7 or more.  Reservations are required for a tandem skydives, we can schedule throughout the day Saturday or Sunday. Reservations are not required for solo jump (static Line) training. We have regularly scheduled classes solo first jumps starting at 9:00am Saturday or Sunday.

DO YOU ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS/CHECKS?
Yes! We accept MasterCard and Visa (5% surcharge) and your personal check.

HOW DO I GET THERE

Skydive Skyranch is located at Cecil Smith Field (Siloam Springs Municipal Airport) at the junction of Highway 59 N and 412, the entrance to the airport in 1/4 mile north on 59 in Siloam Springs, Arkansas.

ARE THERE ANY AGE REQUIREMENTS TO JUMP?
Yes, you need to be of legal age in Arkansas, that is 18 yrs. old. Unfortunately, that also means even with the consent of a parent, if you are underage, you will not be able to jump.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Wear a good pair of tennis shoes and casual clothing appropriate for the temperature. If the weather is cool, we suggest that you bring a sweatshirt to wear under your jumpsuit. We recommend that you leave your jewelry at home. Not only is there a risk that jewelry may be lost during your skydive, but rings, necklaces, and bracelets can become snagged on the aircraft during exit, leading to injury. We supply all the equipment needed to make your jump.

HOW LONG WILL MY TRAINING AND JUMP TAKE?
The amount of time required for your training and first jump depends on the training method you have selected. If you are doing a tandem jump, plan to spend three to four hours. If you are part of a large group of tandems plan on about an hour per person. If you are doing the static line deployment (solo) method, we suggest that you plan to spend the day at the drop zone. We believe you will find that clearing your schedule of other obligations will allow you to focus on your first jump without unneeded worries or distractions. If you will be unable to be at the drop zone all day, please let your instructor or jump master know your time constraints as early as possible.

DO YOU OFFER GROUP RATES?
Yes! For groups of 10 or more we give a $10 per person discount. Your group can jump a combination of Tandem and/or Solo.

WHY DO YOU CHARGE MORE FOR HEAVY TANDEM PASSENGERS?
Tandem instructors set their own weight limits. If you look around at other drop zones, you will find maximum weight limits for tandem passengers at most ranging form 200 up to 225lbs. We use the most advanced tandem equipment available, which allows us to take the heavier passengers. It is more physically demanding on the instructor to take passengers in excess of 240lb, and weather conditions must be considered. Any upcharge paid for a tandem skydive goes directly to the Instructor who jumps with you and the upcharges (if any) are his decision. Talk to your instructor.

WHAT WILL THE SKYDIVE FEEL LIKE?
The sensation of freefall is more like flying than falling, there is no "belly rush" and the parachute flight is quiet, peaceful and inspiring.

ISN’T LANDING LIKE JUMPING OFF A TWO STORY BUILDING?
No! If that were the case, there would be no skydiving because everyone would have broken legs! In the early days of sport parachuting, landings were sometimes quite hard. The new ram-air parachutes of today allow landings that feel equivalent to jumping off of a picnic table.

WILL I BE SCARED?
Maybe, and maybe not, but some fear is to be expected. You will definitely feel a surge of excitement and anticipation before the jump - this is a normal part of the experience. During the jump itself, you’ll probably feel a thrill such as you’ve never experienced - enjoy it!

WHAT KIND OF PARACHUTE WILL WE USE?
The parachutes used are specifically designed, large "ram-airs". A ram-air is a high technology "square" parachute, as opposed to the old style round parachutes. Ram-air parachutes are large nylon gliders and fly just like an airplane wing or hang glider. They are fully controllable, and with instruction and experience easy to fly and land.

WHAT HAPPENS IF THE PARACHUTE DOESN’T OPEN?
In the very unlikely event of a main parachute malfunction, the harness container system provided for you includes a reserve (emergency) parachute. These parachutes are routinely inspected and maintained by appropriately rated and licensed personnel.

CAN SOMEONE TAKE VIDEO OR PICTURES OF MY SKYDIVE?
Yes! You are welcome to bring your own camera and a friend to take video or pictures of your jump from the ground. In addition, we offer an in-flight video or DVD for tandem jumps where we put a cameraman in the sky with you. These make a very nice keepsake. If you would like video/DVD to capture your skydive on tape or film, please let us know at the time you schedule your jump. The cost of in-flight video is $75. We do not offer video of first time solo jumps, however if you would like to hire a cameraman to film you one of your consecutive jumps that is permitted.

WHAT TYPE OF VIDEO CAN I EXPECT?
An 8 - 10 minute film of your skydive, interview, ground training, etc. dubbed on to a VHS tape or DVD, edited and set to music. Bring your favorite CD and we will put your music in the background. We expect to film you at various times from your training to after your landing.

CAN THE CAMERAMAN FILM MORE THAN ONE PERSON?
No. The time/distance gap between exits preclude a camera person being able to film more than one student.

WHAT IF THE WEATHER IS BAD?
Neither we, nor the weatherman, are 100% accurate at predicting the weather in Arkansas. If in doubt, or if you have to travel a great distance, call before you come and we can advise you of the local conditions and the forecast for your jump. Ground school can be completed regardless of weather conditions.

WHAT ARE THE COSTS?

First jumps whether Tandem or Solo are $195. Video for tandem jumps $75. Consecutive static line or freefall jumps are $75. Experienced jumper lift tickets are $25
