We have static line classes (solo jump classes) every Saturday (Sunday by appointment.)  We train and jump the same day weather permitting.  Classes start at 9 a.m.  You should complete the ground school around 4:00.  Static line training is the traditional method of learning how to skydive.

You must be 18 years old and under 240 pounds.  You must be reasonably fit with moderate upper body strength.

Dress comfortably and for the weather conditions.  Jeans or shorts and a shirt that tucks in are preferred.  We ask that you do not wear a red shirt (emergency cut away handles are color coded red). Tennis shoes are recommended footwear, No sandals or cowboy boots.

After completion of ground school (you will learn more about parachutes than you ever wanted to know) we will then gear up.  You and your jumpmaster will board the aircraft.  Exit altitude is around 3,500 to 4,000 feet above the airport.  We will fly over the airport and give you a birdseye view of the landing areas. During the climbout your jumpmaster will manoeuvre the aircraft to the "spot" or the climb out point.  The pilot will reduce power and open the in flight door. You will climb out and exit the aircraft on the jumpmaster's command.  The static line will start the deployment sequence of your main parachute about 12 feet from the airplane.  You should have a fully inflated main parachute in about 3 seconds and  300 feet of the aircraft.

At this point our ground instructor can talk to you on surface to air radio and assist you in flying your large, square ram air parachute.  The parachutes are fun to fly!  Modern parachutes are really large inflatable nylon wings.  They fly much like a traditional glider or aircraft. They are not the old round parachutes you remember from World War II movies. These Ram-Air parachutes have about a 20 mile per hour forward speed and are very manouverable and responsive, very easy to fly and land.  About half of our first jump students even stand up their first landing.  It is about a 5 to 8 minute canopy ride.  The best part is you are the pilot!

It is $165 for the ground school and first jump.

After your first static line jump consecutive jumps through the student training syllabus are only $60. This price is all inclusive, there are no hidden charges.  This includes your equipment, jump master, individual instruction, de-brief, insurance, repacks and lift tickets. Parachute packing classes are included too!

On the average, it takes between 12 and 20 jumps to complete all of the training and qualify to become and licensed skydiver.  Through the training we will get off of the static line and truly free falling on about your 5th or 6th jump.  We will then increase the exit altitude and freefall time with each jump until we work you up to 10,000 feet and 45 second delays (freefalls). After you graduate the program and are permitted to jump unassisted, lift tickets are just $20 to 9,500 feet.

We will help you purchase your own skydiving equipment and we have equipment for rent on a per jump basis.
